Portsmouth captain Sylvain Distin, who has been tipped for a move all summer, announced his intention to leave the club following their third loss of the newly commenced Premier League season.
The chief executive of the club, Peter Storrie, has affirmed that the defender is headed towards the exit door, and hinted that the player will soon wear the blue of Everton.

Dann noch Taylor dazu und man hätte Lesoctt bestmöglich ersetzt und sich dazu auch noch in der Breite verstärkt.

@keko: Da bist du nicht alleine. Allein aufgrund seiner Leistungsdaten, letztes Jahr jedes Spiel gespielt, wäre er sicher eine Verstärkung für die Toffees. Aufgrund der einen Quelle da, wird es noch wahrscheinlicher. Ich würde sagen, wenn ich könnte 50-60 %.

Der FC Everton hat auf den Wechsel von Joleon Lescott reagiert und den französischen Innenverteidiger Sylvain Distin (FC Portsmouth) für eine unbekannte Ablösesumme verpflichtet. Der 31-Jährige wird heute die sportärztliche Untersuchung absolvieren.
