Australian hitman Mark Viduka is considering his options before deciding on which Premier League club he will be plying his trade for next season.
The 33-year-old is now a free agent after The Magpies released him at the end of last season when they were relegated from the Premier League. But a return to the top flight appears certain for the ex-Leeds United goal machine.
Viduka still harbours international ambitions and hopes to play in the World Cup next year in South Africa. It's thought that in order to secure a place in the squad, the one time Celtic star has to prove that he can still cut it at the top level.
Two Premier League sides are showing strong interest, including Roy Hodgson's Fulham outfit who will tempt Viduka with the offer of European football too. The Cottagers have been linked with a host of strikers as Hodgson is eager to add some much needed firepower to his squad.
The Australian's representative confirmed that there had been offers and that Viduka was keen to compete again, and show people he is still able to be a force in the most competitive of leagues.
"Mark is mulling over two offers from two very good sides," agent Steve Kutner told The Sun.
"His reason in continuing to play on at the top level in England is to make sure he is there in South Africa. He's feeling fit again and he's hungry."

Naja, ich glaube auf dem Markt gibt es genügend andere Kaliber, um die sich Fulham bemühen könnte. Viduka würde ihnen nicht wirklich weiterhelfen, auch wenn es so ein Vertrag wie bei Owen sein würde.
Natürlich nicht als Stammspieler - aber als Backup sehr wohl, nur leider wird diese Funktion oft vergessen.

Viduka als Backup abzutun...also bitte. Er ist nicht mehr der jüngste, aber er ist ein nahezu genialer Mittelstürmer, eiskalt und technisch völlig auf der Höhe. Einzigst seine geringe Geschwindigkeit ist schlecht - aber wenn er richtig eingesetzt wird, kann er vielen Teams in der PL helfen. Viduka ist Kopfballstark, Reaktionsschnell und immer noch sicher vor dem Kasten. Ich bin gespannt, wohin er geht!!

33 ist kein Alter...er ist nicht mehr der von früher, der Liverpool 4 Buden einschenkt (ok, das war sehr viel früher), aber er ist immer noch gut genug!
